Hi and welcome to my lifestyle travel blog!
I’m Debbie Turner.
I love to travel and hear from others about their travels. Let’s share ideas!
No surprise about some of my favorite shows … the Travel Channel and National Geographic!
Another hobby of mine is scrapbooking. I love to scrapbook and am a published designer with my work featured on QVC, in idea books, product packaging and in-store billboards. I’ve had the fun opportunity to be on a few TV craft shows and teach scrapbooking techniques and layouts at conventions, scrapbook retreats and stores. There’s nothing like creating memories with family and friends!
I’m passionate about family and kids. I’m a birth, adoptive and foster mom and have developed a hands-on training for foster parents and social workers on how to make lifebooks (scrapbooks) for children in care. I believe every child should have the opportunity to travel, if even a little bit, to open up the world to them.
Like you probably, I love my family more than anything and the time I spend with them is priceless.
As a family we love to hike, (our favorite hiking is the Grand Canyon), camping, roasting marshmallows, family BBQ’s and playing games and planning our next get away vacation. While we love the camping scene, we also appreciate beautiful resort stays with all the amenities yet all the conveniences of home.
I’ve owned a timeshare alternative membership (meaning I have access to timeshare properties but never have to buy the timeshare!) since 2007 and quite honestly, it’s been the greatest gift I’ve purchased for my family.
We’ve enjoyed staying at golf resorts, mountain resorts, beach resorts, “close to Disney World” resorts and what a great time we’ve had! I love that I can reserve a fully furnished 1-2-3 bedroom, 1-2 bath condo (truly a home away from home) in over 5,000 locations worldwide for as little as $398 and not more than $799 for the entire week.
And… I SO appreciate being able to spread out where everyone has space in a condo with my family when traveling way more than I do cooped up in a crowded one room hotel, where everyone is lined up to use the bathroom, we’re all stepping over suitcases, and eating out of a microwave or cooler. That’s no vacation!
I’m an advocate for the timeshare alternative membership because quite frankly, I see families…..
1) never take vacations
2) take “no count” vacations
3) take 1 vacation every couple years
4) at best, they take 1 week a year and it’s to relatives or a hotel all cramped in like sardines. That’s not a vacation.
The biggest reason I hear as to WHY someone doesn’t take vacations is that they don’t have the money to take nice ones.
I can help them with that!
I have a total solution for that!
It’s a passion of mine to share the secret on how to take fabulous vacations for up to 90% off Expedia’s best price guarantee and show them how to stay at a timeshare resort with ALL the recreation and fun for as little as $398 for 7 nights!
I love this! And everyone deserves to vacation several times a year without breaking the bank.
Anyway, thanks again for coming by and I’m excited to hear about your travels and tips to share with my readers!
